The first anime I ever watched was Akira, a Japanese television series that aired from 1959 to 1966.
I was a kid in the 80s and I remember watching it with my dad.
The art and the story were great.
I really loved it.
I would watch it every day.
The first time I saw the TV show, it was a big deal.
It was really cool.
I remember reading a few books on the show.
I still think of it as a big, bold change for the anime industry.
When did I first become one of the fans?
I started watching anime when I was 16 years old.
I think it was in the late 80s, the mid 90s.
I got into anime because of the television series I watched.
I liked the story, I liked everything about it.
But I was not a fan.
When I got to college, I went to a different school, and I went back to school.
I thought, I can watch this stuff.
I started liking it.
And I was really into it for about two years.
Then I started going to conventions, because I was fascinated by the anime world.
It’s just been like a thing that’s been growing in popularity.
I grew up on the internet, so I watched everything on YouTube.
When you watch anime, it’s all over the place.
I’m always trying to find stuff that I can get my hands on.
I have a lot of stuff that’s new.
I get a lot more of the same things.
I try to do a lot.
I also watch anime from time to time when I have the time.
I watched one episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, and the whole show was just incredible.
It had me hooked.
What do you think of anime now?
It’s definitely not what I was watching back then.
The internet has changed a lot since I was growing up.
People watch the shows that they want to watch.
There’s always a reason why people want to go to the convention.
People don’t just want to see anime to see it.
People like it for the story.
They want to know why they are watching it.
They like to have their own opinions on it.
When people see a show like Fullmetal, they go, “Wow, that’s so cool.”
That shows the kind of fandom that exists.
I see people that go to conventions and watch anime.
They go, I really liked that show, I want to do that again.
The fans, they want the fans to be able to be themselves.
They just want people to be happy.
Are there any anime you have seen that you are particularly excited about?
There are a lot!
I’ve been really excited about One Piece, and my favourite anime is Shonen Jump.
There are so many.
I’ve seen Bleach, Sword Art Online, Bleach 2, and there are a bunch of other shows.
I feel like a lot fans want to experience what they have seen before, and they don’t really understand how it was made or how it works.
I hope they will understand that, too.
