It has long been thought that Italy’s goalkeepers would be given the nickname “Magical Nature” in the national team.
But now it seems that the country’s newest goalkeepers are the ones who have been given the moniker.
As a result of a training session with the national squad, the team has been given a nickname of their own.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Gianluigi Buffon has been called “Magician Nature” by captain Andrea Pirlo.
Pirlos, who has also been called by Pirlotto and former Italian captain Andrea Ranocchia, is currently training with the squad.
The Italian has been one of the key reasons behind the team’s success in recent seasons.
In the recent Champions League qualifying campaign, the Bianconeri reached the last four and were crowned the best team in Serie A. Buffon’s side also lost only once in six matches in the competition.
It has been a difficult year for Buffon.
His future at the club has been in doubt, with the player himself reportedly having been offered a move away from the club.
