Paris is the capital city of France as well as the country's largest city. The city has as approximate area of 41 sq.miles and a population of 2.2 Million people as of year 2018. The Capital city of France is called city of Light. The capital city, Paris is located in the north of Central France.

The Republic of Cyprus is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean. Cyprus is the third largest and third most populous Island in the Eastern Mediterranean, located south of Turkey, west of Syria and Lebanon, northwest of Israel and Palestine, north of Egypt and southeast of Greece.

Cyprus was placed under the administration of United Kingdom (UK) based on the Cyprus convention 1878 and was formally annexed by UK in 1914. The Republic of Cyprus has sovereignty over the entire Island, including its territorial waters and exclusive economic zone, with exception of the Sovereign base areas of "Akerotiri" and "Dhekelia" which remains under the UK's control according to the Landon and Zurich agreements. However Republic of Cyprus is portioned into two main parts, the area under the effective control of the Republic located in the south and west comprising about 59% of the Island's area and the north administered by the self declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus covering 36% of the island's area. Another 4% of the area is covered by the UN buffer zone.

Cyprus is a major tourist destination in the Mediterranean. With an advanced high income economy and a very high Human Development Index, the Republic of Cyprus has been a member of the Commonwealth since 1961.
